Whenever I hear or read in any advertisement about travel agencies offering cheap airline tickets to the Philippines, I cannot help but smile in glee. Being a typical OFW (overseas Filipino worker) in a foreign land, I always dream of going home to my native country the Philippines every chance I get – sometimes, even if the airline tickets cost a lot. This is because battling homesickness is an ordinary thing for me here in Canada. Especially because it is much colder here, I always long for the warmth of the Philippines weather. I always miss my family back home, and the many wonderful things we do together as a family. I even always miss my stinky dogs back home.
