Awards & Grants

1. Best Paper Awards

All accepted and registered ICME regular/special session papers will be considered for Best Paper Awards.

2. Best Student Paper Awards

Papers which also meet the following requirements will be considered for Best Student Paper Awards:

• The primary and first listed author must be a student at the time of paper submission.
• A nomination letter from the student's reseach advisor(s) to certify that the student is the main author of the paper. The letter should also briefly describe the contribution of the paper and the main reason why the paper is nominated for the awards.
• The advisor's contact information, e-mail address, and homepage (if any).
• An up-to-date curriculum vitae of the student, including the student contact informaiton, e-mail address, and homepage (if any).

Research advisors are encouraged to nominate their students for the Awards by sending the required information in this form to Zicheng Liu at zliu@microsoft.com by May 15, 2010.

3. Student Travel Grant Awards

Sponsored by Singapore Tourism Board, IEEE Computer Singapore Chapter, and IEEE Signal Processing Singapore Chapter

A limited number of student travel grant awards are available for the ICME 2010 student authors. Applicants must be full-time students at the time of the conference and receivers of the grants must attend the conference to present their papers. Interested student authors can write to icme2010@gmail.com to apply by May 31, 2010 with the subject "Application for Student Travel Grant" and the following information:

• The Paper ID, title, list of authors, and the significance of each ICME 2010 paper co-authored by the student.
• A note stating how the grant will help the student attend ICME 2010.
• A proof of student status (certificate or letter issued by the student's department or a copy of the student ID card).
• An up-to-date curriculum vitae of the student, including the student's contact information, e-mail address, and homepage (if any).
• The student advisor's contact information, e-mail address, and homepage (if any).
