Camera-ready Submission Guidelines
1. General Information
- ICME 2010 requires authors to submit the title, list of authors, a
brief abstract of about 150 words, and a list of 3-6 keywords for each
camera-ready paper.
- Make sure that the abstract, authors' names and affiliations in the
submission system are identical to that shown in the camera-ready paper. (Important!)
- Authors are required to use the new
camera-ready templates. (New!)
- Submission of the camera-ready paper needs to be done electronically via the ICME 2010 Paper Submission website.
2. Requirements
- Camera-ready papers should be no longer than 6 pages, including all
text, figures, and references. The paper MUST be formatted according to
the paper templates given in Microsoft Word or LaTeX. Details of the
format requirements can be found in the
camera-ready templates.
- Camera-ready papers must be submitted before
April 30, 2010. (Important!)
- At least one of the authors MUST register for the conference at one
of the non-student rates offered. He/She MUST register before May 7,
2010. Failure to register before the deadline will result in automatic
withdrawal of the paper from the conference proceedings and program.
- Accepted papers must be presented in the conference venue according
to the technical program. Failure to do so will result in exclusion of
the paper in the conference proceedings and IEEE Xplore Digital Library.
3. Paper Format and Submission
3.1 File format
- All submissions must be in letter-sized PDF. (Important!)
- All fonts and subsets must be embedded. Times New Roman font is strongly encouraged.
- Detailed examples about the paper format using LaTeX and
Microsoft Word are available in the camera-ready templates.
3.2 IEEE Xplore compliance using PDF eXpress
(Important!)
- All camera-ready submissions MUST be
checked for IEEE eXplore compliance before submission to the ICME 2010
website.
- To check whether your PDF file is IEEE Xplore-compatible,
please use the PDF eXpress service at
www.pdf-express.org. Please log on using “icme10x”
as the Conference ID.
- A detailed user guide to the PDF eXpress can be found

- You can also use PDF eXpress to convert
your source file(s) to IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF.
- ICME 2010 will NOT accept camera-ready papers that are not IEEE
Xplore-compatible.
3.3 Electronic paper submission
(Important!)
- Go to the
Paper Submission
link on ICME 2010 home page.
- Complete the online submission form. Make sure all the authors’ names are in the same order as appear on the final camera-ready PDF.
- Only PDFs that are verified and generated by IEEE PDF eXpress can
be accepted as camera-ready manuscripts.
- The filename MUST be in the form of
“xxxx.pdf” where “xxxx” are the four-digit Paper ID.
3.4 Copyright (Important!)
- Electronic copyright forms are to be submitted via the
online submission system.
- Step-by-step instructions are available
here.
- Failure to do so will render the paper inadmissible for publication in IEEE Xplore, and the paper will subsequently be removed from the proceedings.
